The charming Medina of Essaouira is a walled old town with imposing 18th-century gates, including Bab Doukkala, and walkable ramparts with ocean views.

Squares like Moulay Hassan and arcaded Marché aux Grains are lined with al fresco cafes, while buzzing alleyways are filled with indie art galleries, Moroccan eateries, and shops selling rugs, spices, and ceramics.

I wanted to capture the constant passing of people through the environment . Like ghosts of the Medina.
